Concessionary Bus Passes
Use of English Concessionary bus passes on the AD122 bus service
English National Concessionary Travel Scheme passes can be used on the AD122 Hadrian’s Wall Country Bus service.
There are some variations in time of use as the route goes through 3 council areas which have slightly different conditions of usage.
Cumbria
If you board the bus in Cumbria the pass allows free travel between 9.30am and 11.00pm, Monday to Friday and all day Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays throughout England on local bus services. AD122 stops between Carlisle and Gilsland section.
Newcastle upon Tyne
If you board the bus in Newcastle upon Tyne the pass allows free travel in Tyne and Wear from 9.30am Monday to Friday and all day at weekends and on public holidays. AD122 stops between Newcastle central station and Throckley section.
Northumberland
In Northumberland it is slightly different Northumberland County Council has extended the entitlement for older people to provide travel all day from 9.00 am Monday to Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday and Banks Holidays. AD122 stops between Heddon-on the–Wall and Gilsland.
