Much has changed since we launched the Hadrian AD2022 business engagement and marketing programme for marketing activity in 2012.
The Hadrian's Wall trust has emerged as the sinlg voice for the management, protection, communication and promotion of the Hadrian's Wall World Heritage Site. As a trust, we are now now able to work more creatively and flexibly with a wide range of partners and stakeholders to deliver projects and fundraising initiatives that will benefit the wider protection, conservation and communications of the Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site.
Marketing Activity 2013
With the main summer season activity around the corner, and a legacy of awareness to maximise from the Connecting Light 2012 Olympic event, there are already exciting plans for marketing activity for Spring and Summer delivery in 2013.
The programme of electronic and direct mail activity that will run from August will be carried though into next year, with targeted and themed messages linked to outdoor, heritage and landscape themes – 2013 sees the 10th anniversary of the Hadrian’s Wall Path National Trail, and we will be working closely with VisitEngland to find interesting marketing opportunities.
We will once again further expand the content and distribution of the Hadrian’s Wall Country Holiday & Short Breaks Guide to include a wider range of visitor experiences, places to eat and locations to stay. We will also work hard to ensure that media visits and editorial supplements create an awareness and desire for holiday makers to visit the World Heritage Site.
In 2022, Hadrian’s Wall will celebrate its 1900th anniversary and the Hadrian’s Wall Trust will continue with our ambitious plans for the future to deliver an investment programme to create the largest, most compelling visitor and learning destination in Europe.
