Enhancing World Heritage
The Hadrian's Wall Trust is assisting and facilitating an exciting and forward thinking programme of Wall-wide capital improvements designed to enhance the experience available to visitors, and to work towards regeneration of the economy of the Corridor. These capital projects range from Maryport in the west to Arbeia Roman Fort & Museum and Segedunum Roman Fort, Baths & Museum in the east, plus many points in between. Although many of the Wall’s most famous sites will benefit from development, lesser-known attractions are also being earmarked as part of HWT’s vision of encouraging Wall-wide visits. Working with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, HWT has worked tirelessly to promote the best interests of the Wall and its Corridor. The success of many of these projects depends on present and future funding decisions.
